Simit Sarayı was awarded by taking place among the top in Biggest 500 Service Exporters of Turkey ceremony with its service export and activities in 24 countries apart from its operations outside of Turkey. The ceremony was attended by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Ersoy presented the award to Simit Sarayı Chairman of the Board of Directors, Abdullah Kavukcu. President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that he congratulated each of the companies that were awarded. Erdogan reminded that the top three winners of 17 different categories were awarded and that the companies that entered the top 500 realized a total turnover amounting to $ 93 billion in 2017 and their service exporters were generated at a volume of $ 23 billion. Erdogan said “Only our first 500 companies have realized more than half of our total service exports. I would like to express my gratitude to all the members, from the owners to the employees of our 15 companies and all other companies in the 500 list.” President Erdogan wished success for the future to the exporters, whom they see as their flag-bearer on international waters.
